What we hold, and why

Kindred Living Group, LLC operates shared housing. This notice describes what we collect about the people who inquire, apply and live with us — and, just as importantly, what we do not.

Last updated 9 August 2026.

Sending us an inquiry

When you use a form on this website we record your name, whichever of email or phone you gave us, the community you asked about, the message you wrote, and which page you sent it from.

An inquiry does not create an application or a resident record. It is stored separately and is not linked to any person record. If you never take it further, that is all we ever hold about you.

We ask you not to include health, financial or background information in an inquiry, and the form has no field for any of it.

Rate limiting

To stop automated abuse we store a salted one-way hash of the network address the inquiry came from. We do not store the address itself, and the hash cannot be reversed to recover it. It is used for nothing but counting recent submissions.

Applying for housing

If we go on to take an application, we collect what is needed to house you responsibly:

  • Who you are and how to contact you
  • What you need from a home, and when
  • How the rent will be funded
  • An emergency contact
  • Safety and accommodation needs — the practical things that decide whether a particular home is suitable, such as step-free access, a ground-floor room, or an allergy that matters in a shared kitchen

We are not a healthcare provider and we do not keep health records. We do not ask for a diagnosis, a treatment history, a medication list or a care plan, and we have nowhere to store one. If such a document is sent to us we will ask for it to be resent without it.

Who can see what

Information is separated by sensitivity, and access follows the job somebody does:

  • House managers see the people living in the homes they are assigned to, and the safety and accommodation information needed to run those homes well. They do not see screening material, and they do not see other properties.
  • Operators and administrators see applications and screening material, because deciding on an application is their work.

These limits are enforced by the database itself, not only by the screens people use. Reads and changes to sensitive records are logged, so we can say who saw what and when.

Who else we share it with

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.

  • Our hosting and database providers process data on our behalf in order to run the service.
  • Our customer relationship tool receives contact details from website inquiries only — your name, email, phone, organization if you gave one, which community you asked about, and which page you used. The text of your message is never sent to it, and neither is any safety, screening or resident information.
  • Referral partners and funders only where you have asked us to work with them, and only what is needed for that purpose.
  • Where the law requires it, or to protect somebody from harm.

Cookies

This website uses no advertising cookies and no third-party analytics. A cookie is set only if you sign in to our staff system, and it exists to keep that session going.

How long we keep it

Inquiries are kept while they are useful for following up and are then removed. Application and residency records are kept for as long as we are required to, which depends on the funding involved and on housing law where the property is.

If you want to know what we hold about you specifically, or want it deleted, contact us using the details below and we will tell you exactly what applies to your situation.

Your choices

  • Ask what we hold about you
  • Ask us to correct something that is wrong
  • Ask us to delete what we are not required to keep
  • Withdraw an inquiry or an application at any point

Asking will never affect how an application is treated.
